A rabbit heart in a cage of bone, by the silver birch, where I could be alone.
To disinfect this almighty spill, I would scrub and I would gag but it'd be present still. A futile test of will.

Locked out and devoured, too young to run too scared to remain.
I yearned for a fever, a broken bone but nothing came.

Resighting words off of a screen from a book, about a man from a place, that some other men took.
I missed the jab, caught a mean left hook.

The may fly rattles inbetween my palms, she remains unharmed but she's a prisoner now. Can almost hear her begging to get out.

Dreamt I awoke in a kingdom of cracks, the crop was scorched, then the rains came... only then the rains came.
